It bothers me that most Vita games, AND LiveArea don't feature anti-aliasing. The Vita is more than capable of it.
The SGX543MP4+ is the same graphics chip used in the new iPad. I know the old iPad 2 does not support AA and such feature was never touted for the new iPad. I haven't seen any AA done on Vita games either. I was unable to find more info, but I suspect the SGX543MP4+ does not support AA. But then again, on a 5" screen it's not really a big deal. On my PC, if it impacts framerate too much (depends on the game), I turn off AA. And that's on a 29" LCD. If AA would cripple the Vita, I don't want it.
it doesnt bother me too..cuz I go straight to the game anyway...but other games is kinda dissapointing cuz they dont implement anti alias
No it wasn't used in the original Xbox. http://faq.teamxbox.com/detail/1/Xbox-Console-FirstGeneration/#16 It was a special custom designed GPU specifically for the Xbox designed by Nvidia together with Microsoft.
There is no logic in that as the SGX543MP4+ is a fairly recent GPU and the Original Xbox was released over 10 years ago.
I noticed fire in Uncharted looked really fake I thought the explosions were good but it can run it at the expense of frame rate speed, if you don't mind slowdowns then thats you. It doesn't bother me much, I think the vita is powerful but running it can mess up the speed of the game, probably worse loading times too.
Got to remember it only has 512mb, and what the most important thing is that developers make the most of the hardware but not to cross that 512mb line. You want games to run smooth as possible and you have to be mindful of how much detail is enough or too much. I'm sure Bend Studios tried different things with the development of UC. And fitting in that much detail inside the the limitations of its capabilities is testament to Bend's ability to pull rabbits out of a hat.
it doesn't have AA because it is always running in the background. if games that use most of the vita's resources don't have AA, why would the operating system that runs constantly in the background of these games and apps have AA?
Te vita ha more RAM than the ps3. And the vita is capable of using aa, its just that its early on in its lifespan. I mean look at wipeout. Beautiful.
I dont mind the fire, but when i come into contact with it, i fuuuuuu at the screen. What bothers me most is the lag. It happens everytime on some chapter with sully when like 20 enemies spawn and then comes the lag.
Best answer, I must say. And some of you don't know a thing about how games work, do you? The Vita's RAM lets it multitask like crazy, but, of course, the GPU is what matters with AA. RAM has nothing at all to do with AA. And AA doesn't affect load times; it only affects performance. And AA shouldn't be that difficult to implement, though. 2x AA should only have a frame rate loss of around 5. But another things that disappoints me is the low texture resolution that I've been seeing in some games (grass in FIFA Soccer (it's HORRIBLE)). The Vita has more than enough RAM for higher res textures, even with the multitasking accounted for. Wipeout is the only game that does everything right, graphic- and performance-wise, imo.
