Assassin's Creed III: Liberation and Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified to generate a lot of interest in Vita this holiday season. Ubisoft believes the release of Assassin's Creed III: Liberation will help generate increased interest in the PlayStation Vita this holiday season, and that it is too soon to write off the handheld as a failure. "It's a really good platform and we've always liked it," Ubisoft senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key told IGN. "The way it's designed, it's a beautiful piece of hardware. It's got cool features that you can't get anywhere else. And Assassin's Creed, we believe, is the right type of game for that system. It's definitely too early to say that Vita's not going to be a success." He added: "Assassin's Creed III is not the only big Vita game coming this holiday, and I think that's a good thing. "We're actually very happy that there's another big Vita game coming for Christmas from a competitor because we think that will raise all boats. It's going to generate a lot of interest in the Vita this holiday season. Sony's going to be spending a lot of money and resources to make sure that the Vita is there and it's relevant and it's doing well." Assassin's Creed III: Liberation will be released October 31, alongside the home console games.
Seeing that gaming on the go has switched to shitty smartphones, then yes it will increase the sales with hardcore gamers but most would prefer to slingshot birds I or slice fruits with their phones
Ubisoft seems to have more confidence in the Vita than Sony. I can't wait to see some actual gameplay footage of this game. BTW, would you mind toning it down with the signature? It's gotten a bit absurd taking up half of my screen.
Another reason why the PS Vita's sales will increase is because the Vita was released in a traditionally boring time of the year. February isn't the best time to release a new device because it's not that long after Christmas so good titles and a price drop will increase the Vita's sales because that's when everyone is buying stuff, right?
Cripes. The system isn't even 6 months old, globally. The industry has become way too ****** impatient. Heaven forbid we actually give it time to grow (even though the current Vita library is great) and allow developers to really figure out what the machine is capable of. ..But it's good to know Ubisoft is acting as judge and jury.
I don't regret getting my psv. Everytime I see a 3DS it reminds me of my childhood playing Nintendo Nes, SNES and Gameboys, sweet. My psv reminds me of the original Playstation which I played a heck of a lot more tbh. I would choose PS back catalogue over Nintendo's due to more mature gaming. When baby grows-up I'll probably start him off with a Nintendo system though.
Yeah SONY is the most mature and Nintendo is for kids, which is exactly why Nintendo Fanboys are the worst and so childish, they are probably like 9-14 and the mature ones that act like kids too.
Ugh, dont speak for a whole demographic of people please. There are just as many childish SONY fans as there are Nintendo ones. It will always be this way, just ignore it. Be a fan of gaming, rather a fan of a company. Much easier that way. Much less bias.
