I was wondering if Sony offers a Protection Plan for the Vita. I never got one when I purchased my PSP at Gamestop, And I am not sure if Gamestop even Offers Protection plans. So if anyone knows that please let me know. But I honestly would rather get one through Sony. But I don't know a thing about how they operate with these plans. If they even exist.

I don't think so, your best bet is to buy your vita at best buy they offer protection plans on damn near everything. The downside here is best buy had horrible customer service.

Lifetime warranty for the PSV? Is this true? Because if it is, than that's more than enough and I'm set.

This is the first I've heard about a lifetime warranty. It sounds great, can someone post a link to where it says this?

I seriously doubt that a lifetime warranty will be offered. At work, we will offer a 2 and 3 year warranty. Sony already offers extended protection plans for their products, so I'm positive they will offer something for Vita.

There is a one year or two year protection plan for the Vita. I actually asked at GameStop today after seeing this post. Not sure how much the plans are though. I'll try to find out.

I don't really need one. I found Sony devices reliable. My PSP1000 is from 2006 and is still working fine. It has some scratches and I've replaced the joystick one but so far it still plays every game fine. Also my PS3 still works fine. Have had it for 3 years or something like that. Sure you get the occasional freeze when playing for 15 hours a day but so far I'm not dissapointed in that beast.

+ before those seven years are over I will have bought the newer version (if it offers enough upgrades) and keep my old one locked away just to pick it up after a while or so to look at all those glorious moments I had.
