It's so sad, but unfortunately we haven't had any new info about Call of Duty for months! The only clear thing we know is that Activision Blizzard is definitely developing. I wrote to Activision Customer Support regarding Call of Duty for Vita but they replied saying: Hopefully we get more info earlier next year
A new CoD has been confirmed for next year. CoD for Vita has been confirmed. The Microsoft-ATVI deal ends NEXT YEAR. So what I can see from this is that Sony may be in the works of a deal for next year for the CoD Vita and PS3 CoD to have some special features, stuff like cross game play. Essentially the CoD is releasing next year and will most likely have some special features for PS3/Vita.
Call of Duty is overrated. It isn't bad, but it isn't good, and could be soooo much better. Nothing innovating of revolutionary has been pushed out of the last 4 CoD games, they are all just the same game with a different setting. Activision are fully aware of this, but they still go on to rush through the next Call of Duty game each and every year. Black ops was the biggest game of 2010, everyone had it, but now you can purchase it second hand for about one fifth of the price it was six months ago. You buy the latest CoD, and as soon as you master the MP and get a high rank another game comes out that everyone switches to, meaning you have to spend another bulge of money to start all over again. Everyone has just got MW3, now they know that in a year or so they will be called 'old' if they play it as by then another game will be produced. /rant.
I strongly agree with you. Thats why I'm not buyin it anymore. Even if all my friends play it I don't care and I won't spend anymore money on that series 'till they make a proper change or get a new engine that actually is revolutionary. I won't buy it on Vita at day one but I might pick it up for the MP. But COD coming to Vita will surely help sales.
MW3 is one of the most god awful games I have ever played, obviously not worse than DN:F, but it is most definitively worse than Fable 3, hate to say it, but Call Of Duty will be the BIG seller of the Vita. Everyone wants a portable one that isn't limited to 15 pixels on the DS, honestly as long as both handhelds(3DS and Vita) are flourishing next year. Until then, I probably won't be getting a Vita for a while, gotta get me some Platinum trophies in the Jak and Daxter Collection
Yeah I must say it still is a decent game with good gameplay if you haven't allready played every COD game before.
exactly, as ive only played world at war, mw3 was alright to me, i just dont see why so many people think its the best game ever
I am no fanboy of COD but I can see as to how many fanboys think it is one of the better games in the market. First off it has a annual release date. They can count on having a new title each year around November which gives them consistency. It has a huge online userbase due to this as there isnt enough time between games for the online userbase to die out as it does in other games that do not have an annual release. So anyone new to gaming sees that this series is always consistent and their userbase does not fluctuate but only increases, when it actually would decrease if they were not milking the series like they currently are for all it has and actually taking their time to put out a better quality title. The engine outdated, and has only been updated with minor tweaks, yet it is not a horrible engine. Sure the game is not for all of us but it can be a good game to just pop in and play with your friends. The people who claim that it is the best game ever say it because it is the only game that they really ever play and they never reach out into the gaming market and take chances trying games other than COD. Just my view on the subject.
I'm not the biggest fan of COD because I find it a fun game to play with friends, but its just the same over and over, every year. The same is with all of the shooter series like Battlefield because they dont give you the WOW every time. But what makes this new title more interesting is that its for the vita!! Its going to be nice to see what Activision will do with the unique controls such as throwing a grenade (typical idea)
I'm not the biggest fanboy of Call of Duty, either. I fell in love with Call of Duty 4, and it seems like Activision drove the key players of COD4 away with the various problems... Which would mean no innovations with new Modern Warfare. As is the case with MW2. Sure, it introduced some interesting innovations such as callsigns, and whatnot... but it's not nearly as much as Infinity Ward's full radical revolutions. COD4 changed first person shooters almost forever.
I think if Activision did what rockstar did with the gta series and bring one out every few years would be great then everyone wouldnt feel so burnt out on COD
what hes saying is every year when they release a new game, they get close to a billion dollars ... if they release one every 3 years, they wouldnt make as much
But getting excited doesn't make money and what you're saying is basically that if they made the games about every 3 years, then more people will buy the game
