Dawnguard launched for the 360 right? Anyone know if they announced when the ps3 gets it? Or is it just still an Un- announced time?
Bethesda's PS3 support has been absolutely awful lately (with the slowdown issue etc.). As much as I have enjoyed my time with Skyrim, I'm not counting on much for this DLC, to be quite honest. At least I'll see if there are some breaking issues this time.
I've read an additional month, meaning late July, but I don't recall the source now so it could have been speculative. Dawnguard has been pretty sweet on the 360 so far. Of course, it's always been pretty sweet on the 360, and I understand the ps3 concern.
As far as I know, it hasn't been announced yet. People are guesstimating about one month later, though until Bethesda actually says something, it's all just speculation. I think timed DLC is pathetic. It really shows that Bethesda really cares more about the money than the players who have supported them all through the years. Obviously they are a company and making money is key, but this almost seems like a spit in the face to PS3 owners who supported them at launch.
I could have sworn I read Bethesda saying that they never said Dawnguard was coming to anything but the 360.
I, for one, will be unbelievably upset if Bethesda doesn't release it on PS3/PC. It's like saying "Your platform didn't pay us enough money for exclusivity, so fuck you."
would you be so kind as to.provide a link? I feel a nerd rage coming on, something I have never done.
Sorry, seems the news has already been retracted again... Here's the link... http://m.uk.ign.com/articles/2012/07/30/skyrim-dawnguard-ps3-and-pc-news-incoming Damn Bethesda... Where's the PS3 love? At least announce it to make up for the savegame shenanigans us PS3 gamers had to put up with!
My understanding is that Dawnguard runs like a bag of shit on the PS3 and they have serious issues with it. But the thing is, the exclusivity deal was signed before it was released. Whilst I hear what you are saying, they can't renege on a legally binding contract. Maybe releasing it cheaper, or something like that may be a nod to the fact they PS3 players were stiffed somewhat. Things like exclusivity, whether we like it or not, will always be around as it influences system purchases.
http://www.slashgear.com/dawnguard-ps3-may-not-see-release-as-problems-persist-31245504/ If we don't get hearthfire, I may have to turn my back on dishonored and elder scrolls 6. This is baffling, they can get it to work on everything else. I swear if Wii U gets a skyrim pirt and these DLC, and we loyal ps3 users don't then Bethesda is dead to me.
To be fair to them, they are having serious difficulties with the PS3 that they didn't anticipate or encounter before. They are working on multiple DLCs within the team they have, whilst also having to devote time to the PS3 version of a DLC which should already be done and dusted. ES6 will be a next generation release, and they may not have such issues, or indeed, MS DLC exclusivity... If they were to be "disloyal" they would bin it altogether, although ultimately that is what I see happening.
To me that's exactly what they said. Like a "oh well" kind of attitude. I'm playing skyrim right now and I pre ordered it the moment it was available. I feel that we ps3 owners as consumers are an afterthought. Then again, they may redeem themselves with hearthfire. I really was looking forward to becoming a vampire overlord. I would've started a new game just to become one since both my files are werewolves.
