Wonder if you can play online?
How much lag input though? My guess is a lot. If Killzone Mercenary struggles on Vita I have no clue how this game, running on wifi, will work with Vita flawlessly.
Mercenary never "struggled" for me on the vita. Weird.
I bet local streaming will be fine but outside your home may be a different story. I wouldn't use bf4 as a benchmark for remote play. Who would prefer vita controls vs dualshock controls for BF4? Your automatically at a disadvantage in my book. I think remote play will be great for singleplayer and maybe some not so serious multilayer (like a racing game).
Open world rpg on vita? Yes.
Gran turismo or driveclub? Yes.
GTA? Hell yes.
COD or BF? Nah.
I think its just took much action and requires to much quick reaction and lets face it. A game designed for competition on consoles using vita analog sticks and touch controls with small buttons? You'll be killed 64 times on the crapper yelling about while your loved ones call an ambulance.
have you ever seen a shield
Yeah I totally agree. The SP might be okay, but I'd never do multi regardless If I had a choice.
Games like AC, Knack, NFS, etc are what I'll be remote playing.
Speaking of Shield, is PSV RP stuck at 30 FPS? There's a recent update with NVS to stream 60 FPS with games.
Those are two different things. KZM is being working up the CPU/GPU to limit while RP is just streaming like watching a Youtube video. The PS4 does all the game's internal calculations and just beams the display to your VITA.
RP quality would depend on your network.
I can't wait for the Witcher 3 or Dragon Age: Inquisition and being able to stream those! Might not be made for the Vita but finally being able to play an open world game on it will be nice.
I do agree that MP might be a struggle. Just having the ability to do it outside your home is fantastic. I already do it with my Dish Hopper for my TV and DVR content, so will be nice to be able to do it with my PS4/Vita combination!
Imagine if BioWare wasn't lazy. Dragon Age would make use of the VITA's touchscreen for plenty of skills instead of using skill wheels due to traditional controller limit.
Ohhh I miss some good ol dragon age. And inquisition looks to be a real winner. TThat's a game I want to remote play.
wow thats pretty sweet! i see myself playing this in bed before i go to sleep
I thought we already knew this. Still great and I am looking forward to playing it on the Vita, but it doesn't use move or the camera and we saw the screen last month with "PS Vita Controls" on it.
Where are you getting the KZM struggling from? Remote play is basically a video stream that you control so it will work as good as your internet connection does.
Yeah I figured since it doesn't use the camera it's remote play compatible.
Nice to get the official confirmation I guess.
IGN - Some technical issues
I'm not going to post every review out there that mentions the technical issues, but that is the common theme. Vita cant handle Killzone 3's engine without sacrifices.
The only issue I had was with finding a stable multiplayer match. I went through the entire campaign without issue.
Wheres the games with NO technical issues?
I played through the campaign and put about 10 hours into online MP. I had no issues at all with frame rate dips, or anything of the likes. I played, 15 hours I'd say total on it. No issues.
i dont think hes played the game hes just basing what he knows from reading reviews.
